Nike has officially unveiled a brand new silhouette from their running division, the Nike Joyride. The Nike Joyride joins Nike Air and Nike React as the latest proprietary innovation within the company’s diverse array of cushioning platforms. Joyride is engineered to help keep legs fresh by delivering a personalized underfoot experience with great impact absorption in a surprisingly light, energy-returning package.
INSPIRATION
If you look at any park with a paved running path, you’ll see a parallel path where the grass has been worn away. This worn path is created by runners looking for the “easier” route because running on grass/dirt is a softer surface and easier on the legs and body.
It’s this insight that inspired Nike’s Sport Research Lab (NSRL) and footwear design teams to look more closely at a solution that would help elite runners feel fresh by giving their legs a “day off” and ease the running experience for ALL runners, especially those who don’t consider themselves runners at all.
